Hosted on Greece\u2019s largest island and one of its most historic cruise destinations, the forum highlighted Heraklion\u2019s growing role as a regional hub. With over 270 cruise calls scheduled in 2025, the port is fast becoming a key player in the Eastern Mediterranean.  <br><br>At the <strong>Heraklion Port Authority SA<\/strong> stand, the <strong>Renewable &#038; Sustainable Energy Lab of the Technical University of Crete (ReSEL@TUC)<\/strong> \u2013 as project coordinator- presented the BLUE PORTS Certification Scheme, highlighting its real value for the port sector and especially small and medium ports, in supporting their green transition.<br><br>The Forum attracted over <strong>700 industry leaders, policymakers, port authorities, and tourism experts<\/strong>, offering excellent opportunities for networking and meaningful discussions on the sector\u2019s most pressing challenges.
