The event was an initiative of the European project BLUE PORTS funded by the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) jointly with the project Green Ports: ports in green transition supported by the Heinrich B\u00f6ll Foundation-Thessaloniki, with the support of the General Secretariat for Aegean and Island Policy and the DG Mare-European Commission. The event focused on the actions needed for ports to adapt to climate crisis, focusing on the development of skills in the relevant professions, their role in the green transition and the benefits they can reap.
