The meeting was organized by the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia (MTA) in partnership with key national stakeholders from the educational institutions, maritime industry and civil societies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A comprehensive overview of the results from the second round of national consultations was shared, with findings highlighting the growing consensus among countries and valuable insights obtained through comparative assessments. These outcomes have directly contributed to refining the training methodology and advancing the effort toward a harmonized, cross-country certification system for port professionals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A detailed presentation on finalizing the Certification Scheme Regulation offered further clarity on the structure and intent of the regulatory document. The importance of working together and involving both national and local stakeholders was highlighted as essential for the scheme to work well in practice. The session included an interactive consultation exercise designed to encourage inclusive dialogue and real-time feedback. Through a targeted set of questions, participants were able to voice their perspectives, enabling a constructive discussion that informed the final adjustments to the regulation.    &nbsp;Looking ahead, a presentation on the next steps toward pilot testing explored the scheme\u2019s adaptability and transferability to different national and institutional contexts. Key actions for preparing the pilot phase were outlined, including implementation pathways, potential barriers to adaptation, and strategies for reinforcing collaboration among partner entities.
