The BLUE PORTS project continues with the second Italian National Technical Committee.

The second Italian National Technical Committee (NTC) meeting for BLUE PORTS was organized by Distretto Ligure delle Tecnologie Marine (DLTM) and held online, helping to strengthen the collective work for the promotion of European skills and green certifications in the port sector.

The meeting began with an update on the work carried out so far, highlighting the progress in the definition of the training methodology and syllabus. The consultation focused mainly on feedback and suggestions for the development of the proposed training courses and discussions on further certification elements.

During the NTC, participating members from the maritime industry, public authorities, vocational training, academia and cluster networks went deep into reviewing the training methodology and syllabus and provided feedback on course content, admission requirements, training methods and assessment criteria.

The NTC also served to define and enable the next steps. These include the collection and final analysis of feedback received, the revision and optimization of the syllabus and methodology, and subsequently the conclusion of the certification framework.

Overall, this meeting was an important step forward in shaping the BLUE PORTS certification, supporting the green transition of ports by enhancing the skills and capabilities of professionals across the port ecosystem.
