Why to Certify
BLUE PORTS offers a new operational personnel Certification Scheme, conforming to the ISO/IEC 17024 International Standard. Based on the European Accreditation Mutual Agreement (EA MLA), the Scheme will be mutually recognised across national governmental and accreditation authorities in Europe and beyond. The “BLUE PORTS Ports Sustainability Personnel” Certification is based on a competence-oriented framework, covering a structured set of knowledge, skills and competencies aligned with the day-to-day and strategic activities of management and operational staff involved in the green transition of port activities.
The BLUE PORTS Certification Scheme is developed in vigorous consultation with the National Technical Committees in Greece, Italy, Spain and Georgia, incorporating their views and recommendations, ensuring that the Scheme corresponds to the actual market needs and to the future trends of the port sector’s green transition.
